Safe water for 5 remote Philippine villages
This project will distribute tabletop water filters to 500 families in installed upland water projects in the Philippines. The tabletop water filter will purify the water of bacteria, parasites, and turbidity, ensuring these families of clean and safe drinking water. It will help to prevent diseases like diarrhea, cholera, parasites, and other waterborne diseases.
The tabletop water filter is a two-bucket filter, where raw water is placed on the top and filtered through a candle filter to the lower bucket. It purifies 2-4 liters of water per hour, making it safe for immediate consumption. The project is also able to provide ceramic replacement filter which is good for 2 years and will extend the life of the filters. Providing continuous safe water for all families.

Provide internet to 2 remote Philippine villages
The project will provide free internet access using satellite connection to 2 remote villages on the island of Negros in the Philippines for a period of 5 years to more than 100 families.
There is currently no availability of a reliable and stable internet access in the 2 villages where AIDFI is actively assisting farmers through its Essential Oil program providing year-round livelihood. Broadband fiber connection has not reached this areas as they are far-flung and remote. Despite availability of cellular data connection which is expensive, mostly slow, and only covers the center of the village closer to the main road.
The upper part of the village have to go down to access it.
